Michael K. Salon Pvt. Ltd. is a joint venture between an entrepreneur and a talented and seasoned international Hair Stylist and Artistic Director. Elizabeth Whitney Kanaan and husband, Michel Kanaan (aka Michael K.) started this venture in April 2009 with a mission of bringing an international standard and exclusive full-service salon for men and women in the heart of Islamabad as well as build the capacity of the industry’s workforce in the Country.
At Michael K. Salon our purpose is simple, for more than 15 years our team of experts is here to provide our customers with high-end services in hair, nails and skin. To maintain our international standards, extensive practical and theoretical training is provided to our team on a daily basis by the Artistic Director and Top Stylist. Our staff are here for the opportunity to explore with you the ever-changing creative style that fashion can throw our way. We are proud to say that our 17 beauticians and 2 international staff are the best industry professionals that Pakistan has to offer. Our team of 19 employees provide both managerial and technical services. Through our hard work, capacity building and reputation we are ranked among the top salons in the Country.
We use only the best products for hair care and our treatments. L’Oréal and Wella for hair; Keratin smoothing treatment and now offering the latest hair Botox treatment, as well as a wide range of Kerastase shampoos, protein and conditioning treatments; OPI and Orly for manicure and pedicure; and Thalgo for our facials.
Michael K. Salon’s Owner and Artistic Director, Michel Kanaan, is from Mt. Lebanon and has been working in Pakistan for over 20 years, he has over 35 years’ experience in the industry working in Cairo, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Beirut and is fluent in English, Arabic, French and some Urdu. In his free time, Michel loves to work on his health and fitness at his home gym and hiking mountain trails.
Michael K. Salon’s Top Stylist, Karim Douna, is from Beirut and has been with us for 6 years. He is a master colorist, stylist and trainer and has over 25 years’ experience in the industry working in Qatar, Dubai and Beirut; he is fluent in English and Arabic and gets by with his French. Karim’s favorite pastime is exploring local restaurants so that he can recommend the best ones to his valued Guests.
Michael K. Salon’s Top Stylist, Ziad Abboud is from Monsourey and has been with us for 3 years. He is a master cutter, colorist, stylist and trainer and has over 30 years’ experience in the industry working in Qatar, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Beirut and is fluent in English, French and Arabic. Ziad’s favorite pastime is tending to his avocado farm and dogs, Luc and Tommy, when he is home in Monsourey, Lebanon.
